Road trip, Float trip!! We (with Kate’s cousin Kristopher and his wife Tracy) travelled to Arkansas for a 3 day float trip down the Buffalo River. We survived bluff jumping, canoe capsizing, bug bites, scorching sun burn, pesky nocturnal scavengers, rumbling thunder, and gi-normous rain drops… all while enjoying the magnificent beauty, quiet, and abundant wildlife that surrounded us.

We head to Pittsburgh

Our layover in Milwaukee produced a glimpse of a strange firetruck.

Propigation Station

July 23, 2004

hi there. I bit the bullet and signed up for a web host… which means that lazyzealot.com should not only be up all the time, it SHOULD be faster too!
In the meantime, I still need to pull off the old site from my old computer, so come back next weekend and all will be right as rain.

What the hail?!

Yes, today, it hailed. That’s a lot like hell freezing over in my book, though it looks an awful lot like Dip-N-Dots dropped from a B-12.

Painful Mystery

November 11, 2003

Please pray for Joy and Eric.

Joy was taken to the emergency room last night and admitted for severe stomach pains. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time. The last time was Halloween night. She’s been having these pains on an off for several months now… but the intensity has been ever greater as of late. The tough part is not knowing what’s causing the trouble. She’s seen several specialist, doctors, and today a surgeon… none of which has the slightest idea.

They’re still in the hospital as of a few minutes ago. Joy’s drugged up and Eric’s frustrated. Not a happy day for the Pearcy’s. My heart goes out to them.

Wishful Thinking

September 04, 2003

Here’s an idea I had. Inevitably, each Christmas, with our disjointed family strewn across the nation, there’s a high probablility of overlap in gifts. Sometimes we get two of the same thing, maybe we give a gift awfully similar to another’s, or maybe someone doesn’t get that special gift they wanted because everyone else thought that someone else was going to get it for them. Well why don’t we have a little Gift Registry site for the family? Everyone gets their own personal login where they can enter in their suggested list of holiday loot. They can also see the other family member’s wish lists where they can opt to tag a wish list item, laying claim to it so that no one else doubles up and gets it or something similar. There’d also be a spot to enter in any other gifts that you’re getting that person, gifts that weren’t on their wish list. (you get extra points for those ones).

Now this may be a guys perspective on holiday gift buying… or it may just be me, but I thought it’d make the season a little easier to get through. Whaddya think?

-oh, btw, Christmas is in September… football season started today with the Redskins stopping the Jets.

-and by the way, again… I’ll try to get the comments pages a little more presentable.

Designing blind

August 19, 2003

Like stumbling through NY during a blackout… I’m slowly finding my way around CSS. Sometimes it’s love… sometimes it’s like working on a mac.

Personal Note: here’s a site I need to tell myself to read. OK, done.
