Cousin Kirby had a basketball game this weekend, and though it ended up being a one-sided game (rigged I tell ya), it was fun to watch.
This year was definitely a white Christmas, with over 14 inches of snow falling in KC over the holidays. Aunt Abby came to town and we ended up basically hanging out at the Millers in our pj’s for a whole week… hanging out and playing Super Mario Bros. Blake didn’t really know what to think of all the snow, and was rather perplexed about his first sledding experience (which was his first time to use the sled the Nelson’s gave us over a year ago).
You can tell by his face he’s not digging the spoon-fed dinner, but he gave it a sporting chance. Due to the mess and his lack of interest, we only tried a few times after this then let it go. The goal is to try again after Thanksgiving… at which time he’ll have seen us stuff our faces for an entire week and will likely see how much fun we’re having, and want in on the gig.
Our baby is 3 months!! Where did the time go? At this point, Blake likes to tell us stories by cooing (with dramatic eyebrow movements for emphasis) and gnawing on his closed fist (either hand will do). He sleeps through the night (5-7 hours, most nights) and is entertained by watching other little kids play around him. We are blessed!
