Today Blake rolled over for the first time. He’s advanced… I know. We even caught it on tape. Granted, he’s more “falling gracefully” to one side, but I’ll take it.

Tonight we took the boy to his first Johnson County Fair, where we saw all sorts of strange new sights like carnival rides, “exotic” foods, mutton bustin, and a calf scramble. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of the last two… Kate and I hadn’t either until tonight.

Amid the confusion I was able to get a shot of the children horde stampeding towards some mighty frightened calves with ribbons tied to their tails.

Next year Blake’s getting one of those ribbons.
