Blake

Here’s a story of a baby boy named Blake Aaron Sawyer.

His mom and dad came to the hospital at 8pm yesterday and spent the night in their room tossing and turning, listening to Blake’s steady heartbeat on the monitors and waiting for baby’s imminent arrival.

Today started bright and early at 5am. Momma had her water broke around 9 and quickly things started to progress. Chords and cables everywhere tied mommy in knots as they sit around waiting… waiting… waiting.

By one in the afternoon, feet were in stirrups, family members crowding the waiting room, hearts were pumping with anticipation. The time was come. After two grueling hours, the large headed baby boy named Blake was thrust into this world and everyone was thrilled to finally meet him.

The boy was wide-eyed in wonder at this new world around him. Strange sights and sounds kept him alert for hours as the circus of joyous family members filed in to say hi to their new 8 pound 10 ounce addition. “Such a beautiful big headed boy,” they all cried.

What a happy day today has become. The lives of both mommy and daddy have changed forever. All because of a little boy named Blake.

Now sleep mommy. Sleep daddy. Sleep baby Blake. For tomorrow we play.

We’re going to have to coerce our little boy out of Kate. We were hoping it would all happen naturally, but now drugs are called into play.

So tonight we’re headed to the hospital and, Lord willing, we’ll have a baby boy sometime tomorrow!

Baby on the move

I’ve got some photos to upload too, but I’m having trouble getting to that point ever since my poor computer crashed on me last week. We’ll get to those soon I hope.

Speaking of soon, JJ, (Joel Jr.) as we’re calling him, is set to come any day now. The OFFICIAL date is Saturday (the 23rd), so this is his first test to see if he’s punctual. If his rumblings in Kate’s belly are any indication, he wants out NOW.
