While in New York for my grandmother’s funeral, I enjoyed time with family… some of which I haven’t seen in over 10 years.
The cousins found our old home movies that we used to make for the grandparents and aunts and uncles. Thanks to the still working Magnajector (great for shut-ins!), we re-lived the glory days. Here’s a sampling:
Here’s some photos from the weekend.
We found several old poems that grandma wrote. Most dating back to the 30s.

My grandmother, my dad’s mom, passed away this morning around 3am. She’s gone through several health struggles in the past couple months with to hip injuries back-to-back and finally catching pneumonia while still attempting to recover from surgery.
It was four years ago this month that I took grandpa and grandma Sawyer to Hawaii (how time flies), but today she’s in a place far more beautiful.
I’m flying out to New York this afternoon for the funeral, and sadly I have to leave Kate behind (she’s got work and a baby shower).
