Being a graphic designer, I’m impressed not only by the clean design, but by the tight and crisp explanation of the current credit crisis. Well worth the 11 min if you’re at all confused about how we go into this mess.
Since I was already in Colorado for grandpa’s funeral, Kate and the rest of our church group picked me up on their way to Leadville for our annual ski trip. Kate, myself and the Wonnell’s dropped into Breckenridge for a day… which really felt like a homecoming for me.
Rob and I climbed to the top of the mountain (and almost died) and had a great ride down.
The rest of the time we hung out in Leadville. Valentines Day we were treated to a gourmet dinner cooked up by our resident chefs, the Barrys.
My grandfather, Delmar Vollbracht passed away on February 5th, and I drove out to Colorado early for the funeral and memorial service.
I tagged along with Caleb and Alyssa (minus Brent and Kate) for the trip out, and enjoyed spending time with the whole Vollbracht side of the family.
Here’s a slideshow that my Aunt Sarah and I put together for the memorial service. It was fun sorting through stacks of pictures of my grandfather that I’ve never seen before, it’s just too bad it all happened after he left.
Everyone showed up for the funeral which was very cool seeing we’re all spread out so much these days.
