Its time to update the look of KateandJoel.com. I’m still working on it, so when you reach and ugly page, let me know so I can make sure it’s on my list.

The biggest improvements will be focused on better photos. I’ve enlarged all the pictures on the main page post, and now when you click on a photo, an even larger version should pop-up in the window without going to the photo gallery.

I’ve made some improvements to our Wishlist application, including the ability for you to upload your own photo to your profile (complete with fancy cropping). The photo upload is a little buggy, so let me know if you’re having issues with it.

While I was at it, I also made some minor graphical updates… and if you didn’t notice it before, you can now filter the amount of wishlists you can view from your homepage. I’m going to try to implement a group function in the future to allow others to start using the system without all the clutter of stranger’s wishlists. I’m thinking of allowing people to setup family groups (like Sawyer, Swiegart, KS Sawyer) and then allowing you to just choose to be listed across several groups in one easy step. Still not sure exactly how it’ll function, but that’s what’s in my head at the moment.

Here’s some shots from around Holloween. We went to Louisburg Cidermill to get lost in the corn maze and eat hot cider and freshly made donuts. The Williams2 and Haydens hung out with us Holloween night, and we made carmel apples between the doorbell rings of hords of hungry mutant children.
