Happy Leap Day

LeapFrog

To commemorate this odd day, I stumbled upon a link that details several of the crazy construction projects happening half-a-world away in Dubai. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned Dubai a few years back, but this is proof that they’re as crazy as ever.

And for all of you who are curious, Kate has been feeling much better. Thanks for asking.

It’s been two years!

Today marks two whole years of marriage for Kate and I. Looking back, we realize we’ve been blessed to have packed a lot in these first years.

Sadly, Kate’s been miserably sick since Thursday. She’s been suffering from some sinus/flu/headache junk so we’ve just been lazily hanging out in the house while it snows buckets outside. Today she finally felt well enough to go to work (sorta), so after quickly plowing a small path through the nearly 2 foot of snow I drove her to work. Hopefully she’s feeling 100% soon.

We’re eagerly waiting for a visit from her family and the Wonnell’s in less than 3 weeks!

Fun in Leadville

Air at Ski Cooper

Several of our friends from FBC were vacationing in Leadville last week, so we got to spent some quality time with them on the slopes of Ski Cooper. Sadly we left the camera at home, but I was able to snag this shot from Lauren’s facebook page.

We’ve been getting a TON of snow this winter, but this weekend ended up being nice and sunny. After dumping 6 glorious inches of powder on the Ski Cooper slopes, we had an amazing day on the mountain Friday and Sat.

But today we’re back to snow. This year we’ve gotten over 220 inches of snow which, from what I can tell, is more snow than Breck has seen since 1997 and on track for the best season in nearly 25 years (since March and April are usually the heaviest months for snow).
