Kate and I, with a little financial help from the office, flew to California for work/play. Well, I worked, and Kate played. It’s always nice to hang out with the Pearcy’s and little Drew (we’re trying to convince them that life will be better in Kansas with us).
We also got to visit the Neilsons, good college friends of Kate, but as usual didn’t do a good job with pictures and only snapped their new puppy.
If you hadn’t heard, it basically snowed for 3 days straight last week, dumping around two foot of snow on our lovely mountain. Here you can see that the snow has covered the majority of our window…
And here is our Charlie Brown Christmas tree:
Then yesterday, Gareth Unruh, an old friend from JBU days, and his fam drove up to enjoy the snow with us. Here’s some pics and video of the gang shooting the sledding hill next to our house.
Thanksgiving was spent back in Kansas City. It was nice to be “home” for a few days.

Here Kate is lounging in the sun with the newest edition to the Williams family.

Aunt Cookie, after watching Dan in Real Life, gets the bright idea that we should do a family talent show. Here, Kate and I are swing dancing with Abby and Cooper.

We had a chance to have dinner with the Wonnells and our favorite red head.

The day after Thanksgiving, we went to Newton to have second Thanksgiving with Alyssa and her family.
