Another business trip to San Diego, but this time with Kate in tow. Joel drove the hour plus commute to the office in legendary California traffic just to attend meetings in a windowless conference room , while Kate spent quality time visiting with dear friend Joy and sweet baby Drew at their home in Temecula . Thursday evening we attended the annual NNYM staff picnic at Poway Park, where we enjoyed some friendly bocce ball competition, warm company, and yummy BBQ. After picnicing, we dropped in at the Neilsons new house (college friends of Kate’s). Then with the work week behind us, we visited the San Diego Zoo with the Pearcys, an excursion impossible to complete in just one day… guess we’ll just have to go back.
P.S. Pray that the Pearcys discover the joys of Kansas living and rent a U-haul.
