To celebrate Memorial Day, Joel went with friends (I worked the holiday shift), the Wonnells and the Farmers, to the celebration at Union Station. There, they enjoyed listening to symphony music and guest speakers, and ate a fabulous picnic dinner with other Kansas Citians gathered on the hill. Another highlight of the evening was our favorite little red head, Josiah Wonnell. He kept Joel entertained with his much treasured ability to tell a story without using words and only making fantastic facial expressions.
After a year and several months (as long as we’ve been married to be exact) of visiting the electronics section of Walmart, Target, or any other store we happen to be in WITH an electronics section to play the XBOX 360… Joel Sawyer found himself a deal! Online, he found refurbished XBOXs selling for cheaper than store prices.
The good news: Joel made the big purchase and enjoyed playing the free downloads for a few days.
The bad news: The first game he got… BROKE… and got sent back. Then, the actual XBOX… BROKE… and got sent back.
*** As I write you this, Joel is trying to sell me an INCREDIBLE deal he has found (again) on the internet… a $15,000 flat screen TV for ONLY $3000 and a trip to NY to be on the TODAY show. He is serious. What do I do with him? Help! Vivian?? ***
Presenting Dan and Rachel Farmer!
Dan and Joel have been dear friends for several years, having met through the “Bridge” at Olathe Bible Church. And Rachel… though we haven’t known her as long, we have enjoyed time spent getting to know her very kind and gentle spirit. They’re a perfect match! Dan and Rachel got engaged atop a mountain on the ski trip we took to Leadville, CO earlier this year.
