I started out on this behemoth a few months ago. Originally planned as a wedding present, it ended up being closer to a Golden Anniversary gift.
The stain will come later. For now, it’s drying out (every now and then I still hear the big pieces “checking” or cracking).

Phineas Benjamin Sawyer was born this past Friday, April 14th (four days before his big dad’s birthday… today!)
7 lbs. 14 oz.
20.5 in.
Happy birthdays boys!
Update: you may notice the leads on Phin’s little chest… he’s been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with some breathing troubles and a potential case of Hepatitis. Thankfully his breathing is under control now and he’s been moved to the Pediatric wing while they treat the Hep. The good news is that now Caleb and Emily can stay with him through the night. Keep them in your prayers. Hopefully they’ll all return home next Sunday.
Update 2: Emily just reported in… seems that the test results for her was Strep B, NOT Hepatitis. So, they’re treating Phineas with antibiotics (even if he doesn’t have Strep, just to be safe).

It’s like April hot!
