Seems that back in 1898, when Teddy and his Rough Riders were raising money to help fund this little squabble called the Spanish-American War, a 3% “federal excise tax” was placed on all phone calls. Well, if you look at your phone bill today, it’s still there. (and last I recall, the war was won)
Now, after 100 or so years, people are starting to complain.
Kate’s sisters Molly and Abby (and their friend Laura) just got back from a missions trip in Jamaica. They got back last night and I haven’t talked to them to see how it went, so I’ll get back to you on that.
And tonight, heading off to a different part of the world, my close friends Joy and Cory, along with a team from He Intends Victory, are leaving for Africa in hopes of ministering to those with HIV. Keep them in your prayers.

The wedding plans are finally coming all together.
We looked at the chapel yesterday, the invitations are being printed, and Kate’s dress is getting those final changes.
