P-burgh

I’m in Pittsburgh this week helping piece Caleb and Emily’s house together. Much tile laid.

Also check out more pictures of Alyssa and Brent’s second child.

Ava “Malaska” Sweigart arrives

Maddox holds his little sister, Ava Vivian Sweigart, weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and a brawny 20 1/2 inches.

Welcome Ava.

Malaska is on her way

At any moment Alyssa could drop out her second child. So we’re all on standby until it goes down. In the interm, I’ve been canceling my Amex card because somehow, someway somebody got ahold of my number and have been making calls to Germany. Kate’s also coming home for a day and a half so I’m pretty excited about that. Who knows, if Malaska plays her cards right, Kate will get to meet the whole family all at once!

Also, for those of you who haven’t been by Caleb’s site in a while, it’s new and fancier (just like the ketchup). Todd did a great job improving this minimalistic photo journal. While you’re there, you can follow the progress Caleb and Emily have had on the ‘ol bathroom remodel.

4 miles

The four miles this morning seemed much harder than the eight on Sunday night. But you don’t want to hear me complain. You want some useful information, something minty and fresh. Well, I’ve been asked by some fellow runners how I plot out the courses for my training runs. I don’t own one of those fancy pedometers, a hand held GPS, or even a watch for that matter… but I did find a nifty website that allows me to chart out a path for my next run. Here’s a link that shows my four miler this morning.

The Volvo

Mom and Dad are in Keystone for a seminar this week. Pops sends me a picture of a Volvo they saw today:

But this ain’t your grandfather’s Volvo, this one’s made out of Legos! Sweet.
