Ok, here’s some photos from the past 7 days:

Well I finally managed to get online. Cory and I are in Florence right now and plan on staying until Monday morning. It’s been an interesting experinence to say the least. More later. I’ll leave you with this shot of Venice at night… Caio!
Many of you know, many do not, but I’m headed down the path of moving back to Kansas City. “Why in the world would I want to leave southern California?” is the question that I often get after my announcement. (except of course for those choice few still living in KC) Well, call it what you will… a longing, a calling, or just a three year itch… regardless, I feel like God wants me back in Kansas. Sure, I’ll miss the near perfect weather, the beach, the mountains, and definantly the good friends that I’ve made out here… but I’m walking back to old friends, a closer drive to my favorite nephew, a fresh start on my current job, and more importantly, the “the great unknown”… that sense of mystery and anticipation for what lies around the next corner.
Like every good story, the preceding chapter usually ends with some twists. It’s been a hectic time of house hunting in KC, wildfires encroaching on the home, launching MentorYouth.com in DC and now a much needed vacation to Italy in a week. I just got off the phone with my roommate Cory who’s in Switzerland right now. We’re going to meet up in Venice next Tuesday and take a little roadtrip together. So stick with me and check back in a week or so… I’ll try to post some shots of my European vacation.

Life is like some donkey lovin’. At least this is what happens when you coax your friend to forge a check for you. You’ll have to ask for the extended story.
