Roommate Y/N

Well, some of you heard that I was going to have another roommate at the house, Brandon. Though I still haven’t heard from Brandon personally, looks like it’s not going to pan out. Something about Brandon’s paycheck being considerably smaller, possibly due to the fact that he quit his job.
Oh well, there’s always refinancing.

But rumor has it that there’s someone else who’s moving into town soon that may need a place to stay. Stay tuned.

Recovery and the Road to Kansas

Turns out I needed those antibiotics. The left cheek was nice and swollen, and when it started going down I thought that was the end of it, but the right sided wanted in on the fun… and oh what fun it was. Fun and excruciating pain.
Anyways… went back to the oral surgeon and got the good stuff, $4 a pill antibiotics and a big bottle of vicodin… just in time for my trip out east. So first thing Saturday Caleb and I went to Wichita, far from this opera forevermore.

Me and Maddox

This is Maddox and his uncle Joel. He’s a cutie who just so happens to crap himself from time to time. It was nice to get away and just relax with some family, see some snow, and try my best to eat real food. Still can’t seem to open my mouth wide enough to get much in.

So I’m a chipmunk

Post-op.

I’m minus two wisdom teeth. What happened to the third you ask? Well, Curly decided to stay. Seems it was impacted so much, encased in bone and too intertwined with the nerve, that it was riskier taking it out than it was just leaving it be. Yesterday really wasn’t that bad. Though there are those few hours after surgery that are unaccounted for. Today though, my left jaw has progressively gotten larger. I hope it’s not elephantitis… I’m starting to freak myself out whenever I look in the mirror. I’m a horrid freak, doomed to become a carney.

Hello New Mexico

I’ll be heading east to Glorieta, New Mexico tomorrow morning. It’s our annual Forum, which roughly translates into a buttocks load of work for me with a day of snowboarding tacked on. It’s a give an take kinda thing. I’ll be back next Wednesday.

And promptly upon my return I’m having my 3 wisdom teeth removed. Whatever happend to the fourth one remains a dental mystery. Crossing my fingers, maybe it’ll sprout later on in life so I can have IT removed… padding my oral surgeons pockets a second time. Hoping that Joy is feeling up to being my designated driver by then. Otherwise I’m hitching a ride home in a drug-induced state of mind… at which time, tell my parents I love them and give all my belongings to the oral surgeon.

Speaking of parents, my mommas birthday is in 20 minutes (Pacific Standard Time of course). Happy birthday mom!

Holidays Past

Hope you’ve enjoyed your holidays. Many things have taken priority these days over posting… but you understand. From a purely worldly possessions standpoint, Christmas was good. The Wishlist was an overall success… except for the snafu with Brent and his digital camera. (what a hairy bear)

It was fun to have Caleb and Emily down for the Yuletide. Even if it was thrown together at the last minute. Complete with a huge-ass tree, Caleb-made stockings and Emily-concocted eats it was a very merry holiday. Having the house thrown into usefulness has made it feel like home.
